Scope

This accessibility statement applies to the forum-projekt-lausitz.de and the subdomain muskau-barrierefrei.forum-projekt-lausitz.de of Forum & Projekt Lausitz e.V.

Responsible for technical implementation: hytte.design, Kristin Neumann.

What we have implemented

  • WCAG 2.2 Level AA as the target standard
  • Colour contrasts checked: minimum 4.5:1 for text, 3:1 for graphical elements
  • Font sizes in rem units for individual browser scaling
  • Keyboard navigation via Elementor standard focus states
  • Alt texts for all images 
  • Eye-Able® assistive software active: font enlargement, contrast adjustment, text-to-speech
  • Responsive design for all device sizes (desktop, tablet, mobile)
  • Focus states for keyboard users set in CSS
  • Language attribute correctly set in HTML (DE/EN via Polylang)
  • Form fields provided with visible labels

Known limitations

Despite careful implementation, there are currently a few areas that are not yet fully accessible:

  • The touch targets in the main navigation are, on some mobile devices, smaller than recommended.
  • Photos of the board members are currently missing; the corresponding section is hidden until they are added.
  • Newly added content (e.g. new places in the database, articles) may temporarily not be fully checked for accessibility until final quality control has taken place.

 

We are continuously working to improve these points.

Level of compliance

This website is largely compliant with the Barrier-Free Information Technology Ordinance (BITV 2.0) and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.2) at Level AA.

The assessment is based on a self-evaluation carried out by hytte.design during the development of the website.

Eye-Able® assistive software

This website uses Eye-Able®, assistive software to improve digital accessibility. Eye-Able® allows users to customise the display of the website:

  • Increase font size
  • Adjust contrasts (e.g. high contrast mode)
  • Have texts read aloud
  • Improve spacing and readability

 

The Eye-Able® button is visible on all pages and accessible at all times.
